Using Your Site to Yield Profit
So you’ve built a successful site, and now your ready to reap what you deserve. There are many ways to earn money through your website. The most popular ways include Pay Per Click Advertising and Afilliate Advertising.
Pay Per Click Advertising
Pay Per Click Adverting, or PPC, has been here for a while, you display advertisement blocks, and whenever a user clicks on an ad you earn money based on how much the Advertiser (for the ad clicked) has paid for that ad space. The most popular Popular Pay Per Click Program is Google Adsense, however many say the Yahoo Publishing Service (YPN) is Gaining Popularity.

Affiliate Advertising
Affiliate Advertising is becoming more and more popular. Affiliate advertising involves Ads displayed that lead t oa site offering a Good or Service, usaually a product. You will not directly earn money from the innitial click like you would in a Pay Per Click Program. However, if the visitor spends their money on the good or service you will earn a percentage of that money for leading that visitor to their site. This has become a popular method because today there is a lot more Products sold online than in the past.
Other types of advertising include Pop Up, and Pay Per Impression. These methods are presently less commonly used, however, there are still companies that alllow Your Site to use them.
Pop Up Advertising
You may remember the time when everytime you went to a webpage several Windows opened up and intruded your browsing experience. Everytime one of these Pop Ups appeared, the Site you were at was earning money, usually based on how many times the Pop Up was served (Pa Per Impression, or PPA), or how many times the Ad serverd in that Pop Up were clicked (PPC). The problem with serving Pop Ups now is that most browsers are equiped with Pop Up Blockers, so many of the ads you will be trying to display will never get to your visitors. Then, for the visitor who unfortunately does not have a Pop Up blocker will find your Website less attractive, face it, no one likes Pop Ups.
However, there are Pop Unders available, which, though can be annoying, are less so than Pop Ups. Either way you decide to go, the most commonly used Pop Up/ Pop Under Services are Tribalfusion and FastClick (Both of these sites also offer various other Advertising Options).
Pay Per Impression Advertising
Per Per impression Advertising is usually composed displaying of Banners. Every View toward that banner earns money, however, only a very small ammount of money Per Impression. Because of how miniscule the ammount of money you make Per View, Pay Per Impression sites use CPM, which means Cost Per Thousand.
